Default The top five ways to write a seriously good treatment

Your GOAL is to single space a tight, screen action treatment, and although some of the samples you will read are between 13 - 18 pages long, your aim should be to keep it to 5 - 8 pages. LESS IS MORE!

1. DO NOT USE 'LY' WORDS IF AT ALL POSSIBLE

2. DO NOT USE ‘VERY’ IF AT ALL POSSIBLE

3. REMOVE EACH AND EVERY 'ING' WORD WHENEVER POSSIBLE

4. REPLACE THE WORD ’IT’ WITH WHAT IT ACTUALLY IS FOR EXAMPLE; The driver sped away and it drove into a wall. SHOULD BE: The driver sped away and drove his CORVETTE into a wall.

5. DO USE TIGHT VERBS, VERBS AND MORE VERBS. Did I mention verbs?
